This is the scary moment a diver has a very close encounter with an octopus in the Sea of Japan.

Footage captured by Dmitriy Rudas, a diver with 20 years of experience, near Gamow Peninsula on June 3, shows the octopus approaching a fellow underwater explorer and wrapping its tentacles around his knees and legs.

After a few minutes, the octopus gives in and swims away.
