John Wick will make his incredible return to theaters this May. But before you go see the third chapter, Parabellum, youll need a refresher on everything that’s happened. Don’t worry, you wont have to watch the other two movies again. Although you should because theyre simply incredible. We’re going to break down everything you missed in the last two movies, and what you can expect from Parabellum.

John Wick snuck into theaters like Baba Yaga herself in 2014, and surprised viewers with one of the best action movies to come out in a long time. Following its critical success, John Wick Chapter 2 released a short 3 years later in 2017. Both movies set themselves up for viewers thirsting for more, as John Wick takes on the secretive High Table.

It all started with a puppy and a car. It well end with the loss of more than any one person could ever imagine. As the son of a notorious crime family would soon find out, taking from John that which is precious, will require a heavy price.

Days after the first movie left off, John is thrust back into the fire and flames, and given and offer you literally cant refuse. John is tasked with the murder of woman posed to be the next member of the High Table. After completing his task, he is framed, and John doesn’t take kindly to this.

John is then marked as “Excommunicado” and a worldwide hunt for his head begins.
