Part 9 of the R2 build series - Painting R2-D2. Today we finally get to see what R2 will look like sporting his fresh livery. Better than I was expecting to be sure.

In addition, another milestone event was reached. After almost 6 full months of 3D printing, the final few parts just came off the printer bed. Conservatively averaging 20 full days of printing each month; this R2 print project was huge and will have clocked over 2500 hours on my printer & over 30 rolls of 1kg filament - incredible.

We'll also see how the 3.25" rear omni wheels are installed and how well they work - what an improvement!

First to the spray booth - let's get painting!
