In this episode we not only put two of the most dynamic electric vehicle's available through their paces, but also welcome our guest presenter, adventurer, actor, writer and motorbike aficionado, Charley Boorman to the channel. Taking the Porsche Taycan and Harley-Davidson Livewire on a road trip through the Surrey Hills, Charley and Bryan discuss the merits and appeal of these two ultimate EV's.

The Harley-Davidson Livewire is the street version of the electric motorbike that Charley rode with friend Ewan McGregor on their epic adventure, the Long Way Up that was shown on Apple TV in 2020. Riding from the most southerly point of Argentina through 13 countries, over a distance of 13,000 miles to finish in Los Angeles, the Long Way Up was the third instalment of their global motorcycle adventures. The only difference this time, was that the trip would be done on electric motorbikes. Working with the designers and engineers at, of all people, Harley Davidson, the machine that resulted was a game-changer in the world of two wheels.

We have already featured the Porsche Taycan on the @AutoEV channel, but that was the more powerful Turbo. This time, Bryan's weapon of choice was the purer, less expensive rear wheel drive model, just called 'Taycan'. Is this the car that shows how an electric Porsche should feel? Both Bryan and Charley give their thoughts on this latest addition to the Stuttgart firm's repertoire.
