Lynetteholm is a 50 year artificial island megaproject in Copenhagen that will stain the city's green reputation. This is a deep-dive of the environmental and democratic failures behind the project. I dissect the project plan and put the many justifications under careful scrutiny. Unfortunately, these justifications do not hold up, and in many cases, cover up the truth of the matter: that Lynetteholmen is a disaster for Copenhagen's city planning, environment, and notion of democracy that has been the cornerstone of Danish politics since 1937.
