Agriculture, while to those not in the industry may seem simplistic, it is actually among the more demanding and hazardous industries to be in. • Agriculture features a relatively young workforce, some of which may be lacking in experience and training. In 2014, around 12,000 young farmers suffered a variety of injuries on the job. While allowing youths to man the farm can’t be avoided, their lack of experience may be compensated by training and awareness.

Agricultural jobs can be repetitive, forceful, and prolonged, which adds another level of difficulty and danger for workers. Nevertheless, with thorough preparation and proactive training, there’s a greater chance that many hazards in agriculture can soon be controlled or eliminated.
