Apple Pie/Tart
I’ve found the perfect method to make the Best Homemade Apple pie/tart. This classic recipe has a double crust, and sweet filling for the best texture and flavor, and is super easy.
Ingredients
2 sheets of pie dough
juice from half a lemon
5 Granny Smith apples peel and slice thin
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/2 cup granulated sugar
3-4 tbsp all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp nutmeg
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter
1 egg white for brushing the top of the pie
1 tbsp raw sugar, for topping pie
