from the EMS
they strapped you to a spine board and rushed you in
to emergency
got O2 and IV's to resuscitate
Then monitor BP, saturation, heartbeat and resp rate
'Cuz we're running through ATLS

The primary survey's done
so take a deep breath
we'll do and AMPLE history and the vitals reassess
Second survey, survey, survey-vey-vey-vey-vey!
Evaluate head-to-toe
and don't forget log roll!
neuro, thorax, msk, pelvis and abdo
Get a FAST scan, FAST scan, FAST scan-scan-scan-scan!
get the x-rays
check the vitals again
and if all looks well,
take him to CT scan!

but I didn't know if it would be blunt or penetrating
still I was prepared for encountering just about anything
'cuz I had my crew and I knew that we had all just been trained
on how to run ATLS!
