Who is she?
How did she convince investors to pour in $724 million into her company?
How did she get a $9 Billion valuation?
Why was her relationship with co conspirator, Sunny Balwani kept secret from the world?

Elizabeth Holmes was the former founder and CEO of now defunct Theranos, a biotech company based in Silicon Valley which falsely claimed to be disrupting the blood testing market with a single finger prick of blood.

It was all a lie and will go down in history as one of the largest frauds in American business history. Her trial is currently going on in San Jose California where she faces unto 20 years in prison.

In June 2018, a federal grand jury indicted Holmes and former Theranos Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ramesh Balwani on nine counts of wire fraud and two counts of conspiracy to commit wire fraud for distributing blood tests with falsified results to consumers. The case, U.S. v. Holmes, et al. began on August 31, 2021, and is expected to last 13 weeks or longer. If convicted, Holmes faces up to 20 years in federal prison, plus potentially millions in restitution and fines
