Due to COVID-19, FreeCodeCamp Indy was unable to meet in person for this month's event. Rather than cancel we held the event remotely and recorded it.


Junior web developer, Daphne Tull, will demonstrate the basics of TypeScript, the popular superset of JavaScript that can help developers implement best practices and catch bugs early.

In addition to covering the "what and why" of TypeScript, she will demonstrate the following:
* Type annotations
* Additional data types, such as Tuple, Enum, and Any.
* Interfaces
* Improved autocompletion
* And of course, how to compile TypeScript code into plain, browser-readable vanilla JavaScript.
