In the most northern part of Finland on a crisp February night, I go aurora chasing in my Kia e-niro (fully electric) car. Temp got down to -27°C, with the windchill it felt like -40°C.

Contrary to popular belief that EV's don't work in the cold, they absolutely do, indeed in these extreme temps they are better than fossil cars because the heating works great. In a fossil car in these temps, the heater doesn't work very well because the engine cools down on tickover.

I love aurora chasing in my EV's. (Previous to the e-niro I had a Jag I-Pace).

If you'd like to come stand under the northern lights with me, you can, check out http://tours.aurora-service.eu

Clear skies,
TOny
