2024 National Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction

The annual National Stand-Down to Prevent Falls in Construction is part of the National Campaign to Prevent Falls in Construction, a collaborative effort between NIOSH, OSHA, and CPWR–The Center for Construction Research and Training through the NORA Construction Sector Council to help reduce the number of falls in construction. The video highlights the importance of providing training materials and resources to ensure the protection of every worker. Several experts discuss the importance of fall prevention and their experience with 10 years’ involvement in this National Stand-Down including: Scott Earnest, Associate Director of the NIOSH Construction Office and Co-Chair of the NORA Construction Sector Council; Tim Irving, Deputy Director of Construction at OSHA National Office; Edwin Urquilla, Foreman at Clark Concrete; David Caringella, Western Group Safety Director at Clark Construction; Dean Jagusch, President and Owner at Wagner Roofing Company.
