I love the holiday season but have never gotten to decorate a tree, so this year I thought I'd change that. I picked up a beautiful pine tree, and set about decorating it. First I genetically modified some E. coli to fluoresce under black light in a variety of colors. Then picked up some bioluminescent marine algae. In this video I go through how I used these different organisms to make some stunning decorations and decorate my tree. And while I decorate, I took some time to look back at some of my favorite projects from 2019 and talk a bit about all the exciting ones coming up in 2020!
