In the early 1990s, it was futile to look for luxury of a higher caliber. The Mercedes 600 SEL W140 impressed everywhere, especially in such a striking color combination as this copy - bornite color and bright interior. The equipment and culture of its engine were unparalleled. A 400-plus-horsepower, 6-liter, 12-cylinder engine, automatically closing doors and trunk lid, electrically operated all three mirrors, a suspension that lowers when the car exceeds 160 km/h, power steering that varies the amount of power assistance depending on speed and, finally, 10-mm-thick athermal glass for excellent sound insulation. Just as it delighted more than three decades ago, it can still delight today.
