Gigafactory Texas on 10 September 2021! This is where the Cyber Truck and Model Y will be built!

Another great day to fly at Giga Texas and another busy morning! As the main building construction continues, we see more and more “finishing” work being done around the site, including loading areas, storm water management, roads, and some new construction projects as well.

We are now 1/3 of the way through the last month of the 3rd quarter, and there are indications this will be a breakthrough for Tesla and Giga Texas on several fronts. It sure is fun watching all of this come together!

Here are the highlights from today's video:
- Another space frame was installed in the north “alley” area, one more in the que to be lifted, and another on the east side. Looks like these are the final two to complete the roof of this area. Also, the steel materials needed to finish the north end construction are staged and being installed, so we may see this area completed this weekend or early next week!
- As I was flying, they appeared to be getting ready to do another large glass panel uncrating, lifting and installation, but they did not actually do the lift while I was in the air. However, as I was leaving the site, I noticed another glass panel had been installed and another getting ready!
- We see a large number of huge footings under various stages of construction in the central area and the pier drilling machines seems to be working on the shoulder area now. We also see concrete and plumbing work on the ground floor of the steel structure on the north end. The roof final insulation and weatherproof linings are being installed as well.
- On the south end of the GA structure, we see the last main area of the third floor poured with concrete, and a large area of storm water pipe is being installed just a bit to the south of the structure.
- Over in the casting machine area, we get a good look in from the east side (close in) and see the two casting machine foundations and a large slab area getting concrete and rebar. I also get a good look at a truck carrying more castings away, the roof "bridge " section to the paint shop is getting final weatherproof membranes and insulation installed, and the last roof section is about ready for concrete as well.
- A new development is a brand-new construction area just south of the electrical sub-station/switchyard ... they were installing silt fencing and some plumbing pipes, I believe. The contractor working on this project is Watkins Construction Co., LLC, a general contracting firm
With more than 60 years of history serving oil and gas industry customers in Texas, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.
- Finally, we look around the east side contractor and battery cell areas and see a lot of activity including many materials, equipment, and vehicle storage, along with final grading work.
