Other planets that could be home to life in our galaxy!

In mid-2019 we discovered that Teegarden's Star had two planets. Interestingly, both are in the Goldilocks Zone of this Red Dwarf, and both are the right size. Teegarden b has a surface temperature between 32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit (0 and 50 degrees Celsius), and since Teegarden c is farther out, it should be even cooler. Notably, Earth's average temperature is 58 degrees Fahrenheit (15 degrees Celsius).
Since they are only 12 light-years away, we could quickly determine that they were also of the right temperature to sustain not only water, but possibly the conditions for life as we know it.

The Kepler Space Telescope discovered over 2,600 exoplanets. Many of them, such as Kepler-62f, Kepler-186f and Kepler-442b are extraordinarily far away. The Spitzer Space Telescope has let us examine the atmosphere of some of the nearer discoveries. It gives us a whole new view because its observing strength is in the infrared, showing us things we cannot see with the naked eye.
