An oval longer than Indianapolis... But also way more terrifying. Yes, I'm aware I'm looking at this with modern eyes, but there are limits!

Anyway, Monza's oval has been reduced to a relic of the past. It was also used for a few F1 Grand Prix between 1955 and 1961 and has always been one of those mythical racing structures, haunted by the ghosts of the pioneers that came before.

So what happened to it? Let's have a look.
