Today We are comparing two of the best turboprop aircraft in the market. If you have about $3,000,000 to spend on your next airplane and you need to carry 4-5 passengers, The Piper M600 and TBM 940 should be on your shortlist of airplanes.

The real question here though is which is the better turboprop airplane. Both serve similar missions and just as capable. But one of the airplanes, the TBM 940 cost a million dollars more.

Mission - Both aircraft are capable cross country machines with similar performance characteristics. The M600 will take you up to 1480 nautical miles while the TBM 940 will take you up to 1723 nautical miles.

Design - Both airplanes are low wing turboprops with retractable landing gears. The TBM 940 seem to be more practical though in its design. Having 2 large doors instead of one can go a long way with many pilots.

Comfort - Which aircraft can carry all six people in best comfort and relaxation? This is a bit tough because the cabin space for both airplanes are quite roomy and spacious. The Piper M600 does seem to have a bit more leg room and larger windows. in the TBM 940, you have nice recliner seats.

Performance - which is the best performing airplane? TBM 940 hands down is the better performing airplane. With faster speeds and more range.
