“Code is law” is a mantra frequently cited by blockchain developers. While that might work for your project, it may also run afoul of existing laws that could get you into trouble. This session will explore how you and your organization can best use the Wyoming Blockchain laws to minimize risk. This won’t be legal advice!

The session will focus on Wyoming laws, how they differ from the laws in other states and why you should consider Wyoming as your jurisdiction of choice.

Caitlin Long (@CaitlinLong_) is a 22-year Wall Street veteran who has been active in bitcoin and blockchain since 2012. She has been leading the charge to make her native state of Wyoming an oasis for blockchain companies in the US, where she helped Wyoming enact 13 blockchain-enabling laws in 2018 and 2019.
