We have a small software development and design office in Colombo, Sri Lanka. My colleague, Ann-Marie and I made a quick trip to meet the team and discuss plans for the future. We flew SriLankan, the flight to Colombo was good because the flight was near empty. As a Malaysian airlines Enrich Gold member, we get OneWorld lounge access, in Singapore it was the Marhaba lodge. As a day flight traveling West we arrived in the late afternoon which was perfect because there was hardly any people in the immigration lines.

We stayed at the Fairway Colombo hotel with is on Hospital Street. It was convenient because we managed to get a table at the Ministry of Crabs. We also spent some time before our flight to get a better view of the city from a roof top restaurant, Botanic.

The flight back was totally different. It was a redeye and full. The lounge was crowded too. Anyway, we got our work done and have always enjoyed Sri Lanka and it's people.
