I finally have access to Tesla's full self-driving beta and am happy to be sharing my initial impressions of this new software. The FSD beta allows the car to control steering, braking, and acceleration autonomously. The car has the capability to navigate from point A to point B on its own and is currently running beta version 10.3.1. This short drive is uncut and does include many errors that the car makes. I am of the opinion that it is my responsibility to intervene any time that the car acts inappropriately and for the first half of the drive you will see me make several interventions along the way. After turning around the car performs much better and requires fewer interventions. Overall you will see that this system requires heavy supervision and I am excited to continue using it on a daily basis.
