Recorded: October 30th-Nov 1st

I drove the Burr Trail from Boulder to Bullfrog in fall of 2020 to see the yellow cottonwood trees color. But weather took the color away 2 days before. However you'd never know from how beautiful the trip still was. Even though the low temperatures were breaking records all across the state just 2 days before, when I got down here it had all rebounded and I was wearing T-shirts and shorts the whole trip,
This first half of the video is the journey from Boulder, down Long Canyon to the Strike Valley Overlook at the top of the Capitol Reef Switchbacks.

The entire road can be driven in just a few hours but you're missing out on some of the greatest sights in area if you just rush through it. As you can see from the videos that an entire vacation can be made of just this road.

In part 2 we'll go down the Switchbacks to the 2nd campsite of the night into the eastern half of the trail which I thought was going to be boring and uneventful but actually had some of the most scenic views of the entire trail.
