First off, apologies for the crackly distorted audio in some sections of this video. The camera and mic did not always get along in a moving vehicle at speed.

Our Bolt EUVs first taste of winter was an extreme one, with temperatures down as low as -8 amid howling winds and drifting snow.

Luckily it spent the worst of that in the Fast Forward EV garage, but once we dug ourselves out we took it for a boxing day drive to see just how far it could go on a full charge on Ohio highways in winter.

TLDW: 182.4 miles, or thereabouts. The Bolt annoyingly stops reporting range once it's below 10 miles or so, so you have to guess when it's about to die. We didn't want to test that too hard in the cold, so who knows, there could be another 5 miles at the bottom of the pack. But we white-knuckled it as much as we dared, which frankly isn't much.

Being a sensible man of a certain age, I'm not in to danger for the sake of it.
