Joe Biden may have been daydreaming about "riding a pony at a country fair" during the US president's latest gaffe involving his fists at the CNN town hall, according to Sky News host Rita Panahi.

Ms Panahi described the president's participation as "thoroughly dreadful".

As President Biden was asked a question by CNN's Anderson Cooper – the president held his arms steady at a 90-degree angle with his fists clenched.

'What is going on? Did he think he was out for a Sunday drive or perhaps he was daydreaming about riding a pony at a country affair," Ms Panahi said.
