We traveled to Alvord desert in south east Oregon in September. If you are looking for a remote destination for camping, look no further.

Things to consider for Alvord desert:
- Have ample lighting for your night in the desert. Headlamps and tent lamps were very useful.
- Fires are not allowed as of 2021.
- Bring plenty of water.
- Bring tripod for night photography.
- Leave no trace
- Fill up your gas tank at Burns or Fields.
- The hot springs area have campgrounds and restrooms.
- Camp at the boundary at night.
- Alvord is remote. Don't rely on cell reception. Download maps and any content you need.
