Ford GT dumping the 3.5l v6 for 7.3l v8?

Exposed exhaust and location have lead people to believe Ford might be testing a boosted 7.3l V8 in the GT.

What do you think?

Are the just testing the limits of the 3.5l?
Are they really testing a 7.3l?
