Today, we'll review the GVM 80W a.k.a the GVM LS-P80S video light! The BEST budget friendly video light for YouTube!

I simply love the GVM 80W. It's a great video light for YouTube and for filmmaking in general. There's a lot of things I like about this light kit.

First of all, it has a CRI of 97. For a video light that is priced under $200 that's pretty awesome if you ask me. Secondly, the GVM LS-P80S is very simple to use. The body of the light itself only has one dial and that's it. Other than that all you have to do to use it is plug it in. That's it! Thirdly, you get two layers of diffusion in the kit. Having two layers of diffusion is going to allow you a softer look overall. Pretty handy! On top of that, the brightness output is also incredible. For a light of this size it can really pump out some power. And finally, the light stand height. I'm about 5' 9" and this thing stands taller than me by a few feet. This is nice to have because it allows for more versatility and options.

On the other hand though, there are some downsides to the GVM LS-P80S. First, the fan inside the light is a little loud. If you're looking for a light that's 100% silent this isn't it. However, it's not incredibly loud. Secondly, the power cord dangles if you have it at a certain height. This could pose as an issue if it tugs on the connection on the light. It's also a tripping hazard so be careful. Thirdly, the setup time takes a while. When first getting this light it will take a little bit to set it up. However, after using it a few times you should get the hang of it. Even after using it for 2 years though it still takes me about 5 to 6 minutes to get it all set up. And finally, the light stand. It's cheap, flimsy, and top heavy. It is not the best light stand in the world, so don't expect a whole lot.

With that all said, I still highly recommend this to beginner filmmakers and YouTubers. It's budget friendly, easy to use, and has a few basic features that beginners will find comforting. It produces amazing results and I use it for just about every video.

Thanks for watching and always remember to capture great moments!
