In 1977, singer/songwriter/musician ROGER WHITTAKER taped a CBC Vancouver SuperSpecial titled ALL MY BEST, the title of his album of the same name, featuring his numerous easy listening hits including New World in the Morning, Durham Town, Mexican Whistler, I Don’t Believe in ‘If’ Anymore, Before She Breaks My Heart, River Lady and his worldwide hit The Last Farewell and he credits its success to an early introduction on The Irish Rovers CBC Vancouver TV series. His guests are popular Canadian pop/folk singer Catherine McKinnon and David Gates, the lead singer/writer of the pop group Bread. Catherine sings If you Leave Me Now and with Roger Don’t Go Breaking My Heart, and David sings the #1 Bread hit IF, followed by Lost Without Your Love. Roger is joined by Will Millar and Jimmy Ferguson of The Irish Rovers for Whisky in the Jar and Roger’s final song is Canada Is. For those curious, the popular British singer/songwriter, who has earned over 250 silver, gold and platinum awards, was born in Nairobi, Kenya, and his family was originally from England. He has homes in both countries and in Kenya he tends to his herd of zebras! And can he whistle!!
