I wanted to boost the range of my Espin Nesta that only comes with a 10ah battery so I simply plugged in a 20 ah ebike battery and instantly boosted the range by approx 3X.

NESTA OWNERS: On your Espin Nesta, unscrew the cover of the controller box, gently pull out the controller and wires and unplug the existing XT90 connection to get started with this project. This is a simple plug and play solution to range anxiety. As long as your current ebike battery has an XT90 connector going into the controller you can do this project.

I was not able to do a full range test due to weather conditions (too cold) but I did clock over 30 miles and still had 3 battery bars left (out of 5) so I guesstimate this upgrade will get me 70+ miles riding in PAS 2.
