NIO stock (NIO), BABA stock (Alibaba), and XOM stock (Exxon Mobil) are stocks that I am watching closely this week. All of these stock charts are at very interesting levels. Why is this? Key Points:
- Nio stock is seeing a nice staircase ride upwards, up nearly 50% from its lows just a month ago. The likely reason for this move is because of lower interest rates on the 10 year treasury bonds, allowing high growth stocks to run higher. Nio's growth rate is also impressive, showing quarter over quarter growth in revenues of 20%. There are international relations risks and valuation concerns, however.

- Alibaba stock is at the base of a descending wedge, which is normally a very pivotal point for stocks on a technical level. Alibaba is seeing high growth rates year over year, especially in their side businesses. Alibaba is trading quite cheaply compared to Amazon, however there are international relations risks.

- Exxon Mobil stock is a very interesting stock at the moment. The supply and demand characteristics of the trade do seem appealing to me at the moment as the summer travel season begins in the US, however there are ESG risks associated with the stock. Investors should take care that Exxon is exposed to a very non-environmentally friendly business.

- Investing in NIO stock, BABA stock, or XOM stock is a bit risky at the moment. There are a lot of macro tailwinds and headwinds that need to be considered, so there are a lot of cross currents in the stock market that can contribute to volatility. As always, you have to consider the upside and downside risks before investing in these stocks.
