Watch me give my colleague, Bjorn, a 12 km ride to work on my electric cargobike through the Kuala Lumpur morning rush hour traffic on Tuesday morning, 24 May 2022. Along the way, we get attacked by a dog (32:23). But apart from that, it is a fun, fast, enjoyable, healthy and cheap way to transport yourself through a congested city. Our average speed was 17.6 km/hour, probably faster than many car commuters stuck in traffic. And the electricity cost for charging the pedal assisted Omnium cargobike was only RM0.10 (USD0.02), 95% lower than the fuel cost for a petrol car; see interesting article on this here: https://www.ien.com.my/post/increasin...

Other highlights include:

Filmed with GoPro Hero 8 mounted on chest strap and subsequently selfie stick while riding on the Omnium cargobike. Measurements done with my Corus watch. The dashboard is made using the Virb Edit software.

Enjoy - uploaded for the World Bicycle day on 3 June!

My Omnium cargobike is from Denmark, but available on their webshop. I got mine delivered within 1 week of ordering it in 2019! Several viewers asked about the bike, so here are the details.
Website: https://omniumcargo.dk/

Price: RM10,000 (USD2500) for the cargobike without electric motor
Price: RM15,000 (USD3750) for the cargobike with electric motor, which is the one I have. The electric motor is a Shimano STEPS 8000 power unit. Motor power is 250 W (the max limit allowed in the EU), the battery stores 0.5 kWh of electricity, giving a range of 80-100 km, and only costing RM0.20 (USD0.05) to fully charge. Cheap operating expenses :-)
