Offshore sail from St Augustine, FL to Beaufort, SC. A thunderstorm, a flare and a call to the Coast Guard. It was a nerve racking sail that made me want to quit. We sailed into the Port Royal Sound Channel at night and docked at Lady Island’s Marina. We provisioned, toured the historic town of Beaufort, SC and then set sail for Beaufort, NC.
