Today we take a look at the latest Volkswagen Taigo SUV.

The 2022 Volkswagen Taigo is almost ready to go! And it is quite simply one of the most anticipated small SUVs of the year. Stay tuned if you want to know everything about this new addition to the Volkswagen family.

Taigo is a new member of the Volkswagen small SUV series. The dynamic and sensual design leaves a deep impression even from the photos. The new model is also equipped with state-of-the-art connectivity and many cutting-edge assistance systems. For those who have been looking for a Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV) that combines a high driving position with a sporty coupe design, the Taigo may be the right fit for you. The new Taigo will be equipped with VW’s own budgetary but quality TSI engine, standard LED headlights, and modern operating concepts. It boasts a fully digital cockpit and a variety of assistance systems.

Volkswagen has come a long way since the Beetles of the sixties. Today they are one of the leading manufacturers of sensible sedans, sporty hatchbacks, and useful SUVs.

Many Car enthusiasts love crossovers and SUVs, and the new 2022 Volkswagen Taigo is yet another exciting option to choose from.

Well, the new spy shots of the upcoming Volkswagen Taigo SUV-coupe have emerged and it was interesting. The size is very close to Volkswagen T-Cross and it is based on the successful Brazilian Nivus model. Interesting side note: Nivus is a small SUV that’s only sold in Brazil. Taigo will be produced for the European market in Pamplona, Spain.

Taigo is very similar to T-Cross but with a more sloped roofline that gives it a slightly sportier appearance. It is based on the Volkswagen Group's compact sedan MQB-A0 platform. ; It is the smallest version of the Volkswagen Group's modular chassis architecture, which is the same as the structure that supports the brand's T-Cross compact SUV and the current Polo ultra-mini model.

We researched the Brazilian Nivus a lot so we can guess Taigo will be slightly longer than T-Cross, but the roofline will be about 10 mm lower. With Taigo you will definitely enjoy a more casual and fashionable small SUV experience.

After seeing the spy shots we are happy to see the design aesthetic is very elegant. It is ergonomic and practical but definitely not boring.

It looks similar to the Volkswagen T-Cross in some areas but it has a rounded silhouette. Its headlights are curvier but the grille is more angular, balancing the whole look. The biggest difference from Volkswagen T-Cross is the new sporty adjustments. There is also a very broad lower grille, with daytime running lights pushed out to either side. From a design perspective, it totally makes sense.

The most important feature that distinguishes it from Volkswagen T-Cross is the roofline. The new Volkswagen Taigo has a distinctly sloped roofline leading into the boot. At the back, there is a similar light bar just like the T-Cross. Still, Taigo has a more angular design. This is definitely a “handsome” car. The balance of sharp angular features with the curvy details is a pleasant combination.

There is no dramatic production down the side of the Volkswagen Taigo, except the obviously sloped roofline leading into the boot.

Since the prototype is sporting a crazy green color you should expect more funky colors when Taigo does go on sale. There are also rumors of different selections of alloy wheels like other models in the VW catalog.

Now let's check out the interior of the 2022 Volkswagen Taigo

The Volkswagen Taigo is expected to have a very comparable interior to the Volkswagen T-Cross. This means it will be laid out perfectly. Although a perfect practical layout can sometimes mean a slightly boring aesthetic Volkswagen is a master of details so you can expect some colorful trim options to customize the dashboard if you like some extra presence.

You may also want to keep in mind that rear headroom and boot space may suffer because of the sloped roofline.

So in short, a perfectly laid-out interior but maybe a little less exciting.

The thing is If you are familiar with the Volkswagen brand then you know that they have innovative but practical designs, quality production, and stylish accessories with low maintenance costs. They also boast a good starting price and excellent fuel efficiency. None of them may scream ultra exciting cutting edge crazy design like a Bugatti but Volkswagen creates dependable cars. Oh! and as we all know, Volkswagen actually owns Bugatti. And they don't do it for the money. The company loses approximately $5 million every time it sells one of the fastest cars in the world.
