It's no understatement to say that the final season of Game of Thrones has left many fans disappointed, underwhelmed, and even angry. Many memes and rants have been made about how terrible it is, and how showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have ruined the legacy of HBO's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's unfinished masterwork A Song of Ice and Fire.

But is it as bad as many make it out to be? Perhaps there's more to the final season than people are giving it credit for...

This video is a deep look at the themes and structure of the final season of Game of Thrones. The goal was to purposefully defend and parse through the events of the last six episodes, and fairly evaluate them outside of the personal expectations the audience may have had. And in doing so I found things aren't quite so bad.
