The updated Kia Sportage went on sale here in Canada a couple months ago, with a bold new design and updated technology, this compact crossover has a lot to offer consumers. For North American we get a long wheelbase version, larger than that sold in Europe, offering more legroom in the second row with a lot of extra cargo capacity over the previous generation. We go over the exterior design and dimensions and how they differ from the 2021 Sportage we drove last, along with some of the updated technology features on this vehicle.

Here in Canada the EX Premium is the second-from-the-top trim, with the US equivalent being between the SX and SX Prestige, with either vehicle having slightly different features between the two countries. We go over some of the other changes with this latest Sportage including the only engine offered, the 2.5L 4 cylinder from the previous generation with a slight bump in power.

We then take the 2023 Kia Sportage EX Premium on a real world road test to talk about how this vehicle performed on our 100km test loop, and how the fuel economy compares to the previous Sportage, along with other vehicles we've tested recently. We also go over our thoughts on this crossover and some of the reasons why you might want to consider it if you're in the market.
