Onsite RV Repair, What's it Like? How Much Did We Pay?

Have you ever used a mobile RV repair service? Have you ever wondered what that is like?

Some things we will do ourselves, no problem. Some things we "try" to do ourselves. And some things, we just need to call in a professional. We have used mobile RV repair services in the past with success. So, when we found ourselves with a few tedious repairs to do and a couple of mystery issues, we called in a professional.

Our List of Repairs/ Solutions:
1. New water pump (water pump check valve is bad) - REPLACED
2. New city water connection (check valve is bad) - REPLACED
3. Leak by the door (sealant needed for awning bolts) -BOLTS SEALED, BOTH
SIDES
4. Leaking through our AC into the RV in heavy rain (bolts holding AC were
very loose!) -BOLTS TIGHTENED
5. Concern about our slide being unlevel - LOOKS OK, CHECK FOR LEVEL
WHEN WE BRING IT IN
6. Roof check - RESEAL NEEDED, WILL BE BACK NEXT WEEK TO DO THIS

We learned so much and had the opportunity to see the repairs and what to look for regarding issues that could arise.

Two things stood out:
1. Don't use silicone as an outside sealant.
Instead use Dicor Self Leveling Lap Sealant.
LEXEL is also a good outdoor caulk.

2. In Florida, it is recommended to reseal the roof every year!

We appreciate the patience and expertise of our RV tech from Mr. RV Repair.
Stay tuned. Roof resealing, oil changes, and windshield replacement coming soon.
