Dr. Tim Stockdale has served as a speech-language pathologist (SLP) primarily in university and acute care settings. He has taught at the graduate level for several years, is the five-time director of the 'Hard to Swallow: A Catalyst for Change in Dysphagia Management' conference for Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions (RMUoHP), and is passionate about dysphagia and neurogenic disorders affecting communication.

He recently founded Gap Education, LLC, a continuing education company aimed at addressing gaps in dysphagia education and intervention. Through this company, he hosts the popular Swallow the Gap podcast.

He is currently an adjunct faculty member at RMUoHP and the University of Hawai'i, and he serves on ASHA SIG-13 (Dysphagia) Professional Development Committee. He received an undergraduate degree from West Virginia University, a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of South Florida, and a Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) from Northwestern University.
