Well, folks, another year has been crossed off the ever growing list. That can only mean it's time for the annual look back at the last 365 days, 52 weeks, 525,600 minutes, or whatever your preferred measurements are for the time that has passed. This second of two videos showcases the action on the various heritage railways I have visited this past year. Much like the main line video, most of the footage showcased here will be very familiar to you, but there are several shots and sequences which had previously gone unpublished as regular videos.

As with every year 2019 saw a multitude of locomotives returning to service after major overhauls or restoration from scrap condition. These include: S15 506, 4MT 75069, 7828 'Odney Manor', 9351, 4953 'Pitchford Hall', 9F 92134, 6989 'Wightwick Hall', 18 'Jessie', 8F 48305, 5239 'Goliath, 4MTs 80080, 80097 & 80151, and so many more! It also saw the Great Western Society at Didcot realising a long held ambition to recreate a Great Western Railway Saint Class in the rebuilding and subsequent steaming of 4942 'Maindy Hall' into her new form of 2999 'Lady of Legend'.

Of course, with may locos returning, others must go, either in need of an overhaul or major repairs. These include: W24 'Calbourne', 4MT 80072, 7802 'Bradley Manor', 8F 48624, 2807, 'Coal Tank' 1054 and 9F 92212, to name a few.

Some personal highlights from the year include filming Pannier Tank No.7714 with a rake of blood and custards in perfect winter light up Eardington Bank, 41312 & L92's storming performances during the Mid Hants Railway's spring steam gala, B1 No.1264's visit to the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway, S15 No.506 returning to steam at the Mid Hants Railway for the first time in 18 years, the stunning performance by 34092 'City of Wells' up Eardington Bank during the Severn Valley Railway's autumn steam gala, Large Pannier Tank No.9466 in action at the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway and, finally, filming the last runs of 9F No.92212 over two days at the Mid Hants Railway.

As mentioned in the previous video, a massive thank you to everyone who has watched and supported my videos throughout not only the year, but the last decade! Not forgetting all those involved with the restoration and running of all of the locomotives, rolling stock and railways that I've had the pleasure of capturing on camera. You've really given me some very special moments in my life. All the best and a Happy New Year to you all.
