This is the first fully-fledged N-spec Elantra and comes packed with performance upgrades and visual modifications. The Elantra N is an alternative to such sporty cars as the Honda Civic Type R and Volkswagen Golf GTI. The new Hyundai Elantra N’s bodywork looks far more aggressive than on the standard models. It comes fitted with a rear diffuser, side skirts and spoiler, all designed to enhance the aerodynamic performance. An electronic limited-slip differential and launch control feature help the Elantra N do 0-60mph sprint in just 5.3-seconds. The Hyundai Elantra N comes with the same 280hp 2.0-litre turbocharged engine as you get in the i30 N hot hatch. It also gets front-wheel drive and an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission like that car, along with Hyundai’s ‘N Grin Shift’ feature that further boosts power by 10hp for up to 10 seconds.
