This week, we're looking for Uranium in the Athabasca Basin, Nickel in British Columbia, Gold in Equador, and more Uranium in the US.

More specifically, this week I spoke to:

1. James Sykes, CEO of Baselode Energy (TSX-V: FIND), a $51M uranium exploration company which controls 100% of approximately 264,172 hectares for exploration in the Athabasca Basin area, in northern Saskatchewan, Canada. The land package is free of any option agreements or underlying royalties.

The Company discovered the ACKIO near-surface, high-grade uranium deposit in September 2021. ACKIO measures greater than 375 m along strike, greater than 150 m wide, comprised of at least 11 separate zones, with mineralization, starting as shallow as 28 m beneath the surface and down to approximately 300 m depth beneath the surface with the bulk of mineralization occurring in the upper 120 m. ACKIO remains open to the west, south, and along the Athabasca sandstone unconformity to the east and south.

Baselode's Athabasca 2.0 exploration thesis focuses on discovering near-surface, basement-hosted, high-grade uranium orebodies outside the Athabasca Basin. The exploration thesis is further complemented by the Company's preferred use of innovative and well-understood geophysical methods to map deep structural controls to identify shallow targets for diamond drilling.

3. Marshall Koval, CEO of Lumina Gold (TSX-V: LUM), a $193M Vancouver, Canada based precious and base metals exploration and development company focused on the Cangrejos Gold-Copper Project located in El Oro Province, southwest Ecuador. The Company has completed a Preliminary Feasibility Study for Cangrejos (2023), which is the largest primary gold deposit in Ecuador. Lumina has an experienced management team with a successful track record of advancing and monetizing exploration projects.

4. Wayne Heili, CEO of Peninsula Energy (ASX: PEN), a $288M advanced uranium developer progressing its flagship and sizeable Lance Project into a sustainable, long-life uranium operation.

Located in Wyoming, a tier-one mining and uranium jurisdiction, Lance is one of the largest US uranium projects, with a JORC (2012) Resource of 53.8 million pounds U3O8. The project comprises the Ross and Kendrick production areas and the Barber development and exploration area.

Lance will be the first ASX-listed, commercial US uranium operation to utilise low-pH In-Situ Recovery (ISR), which is a proven and effective method of uranium production. Over 60% of global uranium produced in 2021 used the ISR process with production costs for low-pH ISR projects sitting in the lowest quartile.
