In this retrospective we analyze X-Men Evolution, an animated version of the iconic marvel superhero team created by Stan Lee. This version of Marvel comics mutant superhero team finds Scott Summers(Cyclops), Jean Grey, Kurt Wagner(Nightcrawler), Evan Daniels(Spyke), Rogue, and Kitty Pryde(Shadowcat) are in high school dealing with all the pressure that comes with being a teenager, and new emerging powers. Charles Xavier(Professor X), Wolverine, Ororo Munroe(Storm), and Hank McCoy(Beast) appear as instructors.
We begin the series with Scott Summers, and Jean Grey as the only students but quickly recruit the rest of the cast as they battle Mystique and her Brotherhood featuring Lance Alvers(Avalanche), Fred Dukes(Blob), Todd Tolanski(Toad), and Pietro Maximoff(Quicksilver). Magneto manipulates both teams in the background, and during season two after Bobby Drake(Iceman), Jubilation Lee(Jubilee), Amara(Magma) and more join the institute, and Magneto reveals the existence of mutants to the world. They battle Sentinels, and Mystique blows up the institute after taking Charles place to leave the season with a cryptic warning.
In this retrospective Joshwithaz discusses each character that appears in X-Men Evolution and independently analyzes each episode from season 1 and 2 and compare to the comics based on the series.
