Welcome back to Skills with Scot! In the years post-2020, I've found myself in a life that, on the surface, is comfortable. Basic needs are met, but there's a lingering sense of dissatisfaction. 2023, in particular, has been a challenging chapter, prompting me to reflect on what could be done differently. Ever felt that morning question of 'why bother' and the looming specter of routine leading to a mundane existence? Yeah, you know the feeling.
In the quest for a more meaningful existence, I'm hitting the reset button on life. I refuse to succumb to a slow, unfulfilling demise. Instead, I want to wake up each day with enthusiasm, ready to conquer life's challenges and extract the maximum from every moment. It's time to unfuck my life.
Over the next six months, I'm embarking on a journey to unfuck various aspects of my life. It's a holistic approach, touching on diet, exercise, mindfulness, toxicity management, social engagement, and finding joy in the daily grind.
Let's break it down. My diet, often a source of stress, is getting an overhaul. Exercise, which I've often neglected, is becoming a daily commitment. Mindfulness is the key to staying present in each moment. Toxicity? It's time to purge it from my life. Social connections, often pushed to the background, are taking center stage. And finding joy in the mundane? That's a skill worth mastering.
Each of these areas, a potential source of stress or mental fatigue, will be dissected into smaller, manageable goals. The plan? Tackle them head-on and keep you in the loop about the progress.
So, buckle up for the next six months as I navigate through these five pivotal areas of my life. Videos documenting the highs, the lows, and the lessons learned will be rolling out. When the six months come to a close, we'll evaluate together to see if lasting progress has been made. Let the unfucking begin!
