On Saturday 11/9/2019 the U.S. Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the Blue Angels, hosted their 65th and final flight demonstration of the 2019 season at NAS Pensacola. After a week of cold wet weather, the Blues were graced with sunny unlimited visibility and calm winds. You will notice there are only 5 of 6 jets performing in this video for Blue Angel 6 was absent the last 2 weeks of the 2019 season. Blue Angel 5 compensated for this by performing a few extra sneak passes. I want to apologize in advance for the sometimes painfully visible marks on the lens, for the night prior there was a little bit of a drizzle while I was trying to film the Viper Demo Team. You'll also notice at the end of the video while the Blues were taxing back, 2 bald eagles over flew the field and caught both the crowd and the performers' attention. It was quite incredible. With the conclusion of the 2019 season, Boss Doyle handed the reigns of the team over to the now current Boss, Cdr. Brian Kesselring who will lead the Blue Angels through their Super Hornet transition at the end of next year's season. Best of luck to all team members leaving this year in your future endeavors. 2019 was a huge success.
