Shaykh Uthman Khan is known as the Shaykh al-Qurraa of Canada (the Shaykh of all Reciters). He has 20 ijaazaat (licenses) in all 10 qira'aat (recitations - Asharah Kubrah was Sugrah). He also has a degree in Islamic Studies, and has graduated over 30 huffadh (memorizers of the Qur'an) from his students, the youngest of whom is 9 years old.
