Living just above Steamboat Springs, Colorado, at roughy 7,500 feet, I drive in a lot of snowy conditions. I picked up my 2022 Tesla Model Y Performance in early December 2021. Thus, I had a few weeks of bad weather driving with the 21 inch Michelin Pilot All Season tires. The stock performance set up wasn't great in the snow. In fact, it was SCARY. So, I made some changes that makes my Model Y a lot safer in the snowy winter months.
CHANGES:
1. Get a second set of dedicated winter tires and wheels. I went with a 19" set up.
2. Regenerative braking requires the driver to adjust their driving habits in the snow.
3. Change a few settings.

Comments are always welcome.
