This is raw, unedited silent footage (about 14 minutes) of Huntsville and Redstone Arsenal shot in 1965 by Army filmmakers. The first two minutes are downtown Huntsville and surrounding area. Starting at the 2:12 minute mark is Building 7101 (the first Redstone Arsenal Headquarters building, now the site of the FBI's Hazardous Devices School). At the 4-minute mark is the Pershing Test Stand (now just rusting away). At the 5-minute mark is the dock for the Saturn first stage boosters. The satellite dish on Madkin Mountain is at the 6-minute mark (and there’s a WHOLE interesting story about that one). At the 6:42 mark is aerial footage of the Ordnance Missile School. The film transitions back to downtown at the 8:32 mark. The aerial Governors to Airport follows at the 10-minute mark (and some of you have seen this posted by me before). The film transitions back to the Ordnance School before showing the Marshall Space Flight Center Headquarters building (4200) at the 13-minute mark.
