I took a piece of plate glass and some blue tinted polarizing sunglasses and tried to verify this "Brewster angle" effect. I monkeyed with the angle of the glass relative to the sun and the polarization angle of the sunglasses by tilting my head to minimize glare. And it does appear that, at a certain angle of incidence, the sun becomes dimmer and matches the color of the tinting of the glasses. I'm assuming this is what Malus saw in 1808 and Brewster quantified in 1815?!
