Can’t stand my boss. What it actually means when you don’t like your manager. The Manager I struggled with the most in my career was the same manager I learned the most from. The Manager and I were total opposites so we sometimes struggled in our relationship. As a result, she brought a different perspective that I was able to learn from.

Now, when I reflect back on working with her I'm kind of astounded at the lessons I took from that relationship. This Manager played a critical role in helping me round out my skills and approach as a Human Resources Professional.

The next time you're struggling with your manager, ask yourself why. Maybe you're learning something that's hard for you, maybe you need to acknowledge that your approach is different from hers or his.
