Petcor 2 is a flea and tick spray that is safe to use on dogs and cats. This product is a new and improved formulation of the original Petcor.

Petcor 2 comes in a ready-to-spray bottle, so there is no mixing necessary. Simply shake the bottle and you’re ready to apply. It is important to consult a veterinarian before applying to any animal that is aged, pregnant, nursing, or taking medication. Unlike the original Petcor, Petcor 2 does not contain pyrethrins, which cats are known to be sensitive to. However, some cats may yet be sensitive to etofenprox, so talk to your veterinarian before application, and carefully observe your cat after application for any signs of sensitivity.

Spray Petcor 2 onto a towel and wipe around the pet’s sensitive areas like the eyes, nose, and ears. Then spray down the coat to the base of the tail and legs. As you spray your pet’s fur, it may be helpful to ruffle the fur and hold it back to help the product reach the skin where fleas may be feeding. If you find any fleas or ticks, be sure to spray them directly. For an easier and less scratchy approach for applying to cats, consider using a towel to apply the product.

Under normal conditions, Petcor 2 will remain active for 1 month. For dogs, the maximum application rate is twice per month, where the second application must be made more than 8 days after the initial application. For cats, the maximum application rate is once per month.
Petcor 2 does not kill pests instantly. Once the adult flea or tick comes into contact with the chemical, it will die within the day. For younger stage fleas like eggs and larvae, it may take a few days for them to die as they are unable to develop further into their life cycles.
