My second flight of the season in my glider (sailplane) and I find myself down in the rocks circling just a few hundred feet above the cliff tops trying to find lift. A big thunderstorm had blown through 30 minutes before and shut down much of the lift, but with 30 knot winds from the south, I knew I could find scraps of lift off the cliff faces to stay up long enough to catch one of the first thermals that formed in the new sun areas once the rocks heated up again. What a fun and scary but rewarding way to scrape up out of the rocks and get back home. Fun stuff! Thanks for watching and I love your comments! Bruno - B4
